Madden Community Tip Week 8: Kobra

Every Thursday, a leader in the community will share a tip or two to help you improve your Madden game.  Next up is Kobra from the Madden strategy website Madden Tips.  His tip will help you protect your quarterback.

This year in Madden NFL 08, many players have found ways to create A Gap heat while lining up under center. This makes it very hard to run pass plays and avoid being sacked. An effective to counter to avoid  A Gap pressure while coming out in any Weak I formation is to call plays where the fullback is pass blocking to the left ( as you look at the screen). Before the snap, take control of the fullback and motion him to the right. His pass block angle will now be blocking to the inside.

If the player on defense calls some type of A Gap blitz, the fullback will now be in position to pick up the inside blitz. Normally, we don't tell players to let the CPU drop the quarterback, but for this this tip we do. By doing so, it will allow you time to find the open receiver once you do take control of quarterback.
